Victor Cagnin was born in Lyon in 2002 and trained at the Ballet Academy of the Vienna State Opera, graduating in 2021. He won the Karl Musil Prize in 2019 and second place at Youth America Grand Prix Paris.
He joined the Vienna State Ballet corps in 2021/22. For Tadzio in Death in Venice at Volksoper Wien in 2022 he was named among the “ten dancers with the best prospects” in the tanz yearbook critics’ poll.
