Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky (1840–1893) was a Russian Romantic composer and the first whose music made a lasting international impression. His concert and theatre works include the First Piano Concerto, the Violin Concerto, the 1812 Overture and the opera Eugene Onegin.

His ballets Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty and The Nutcracker sit at the centre of the classical dance repertory. This site bills his music on The Sleeping Beauty and, in Kurt-Heinz Stolze’s arrangement, on Cranko’s Onegin.
