Madison Young was born in Utah and trained at the Ballet West Academy and Houston Ballet Academy. At 17 she won the Beau Rivage Palace second-place award at the Prix de Lausanne, then danced in the Houston Ballet corps in 2016/17.
She joined the Vienna State Ballet in 2017, becoming a soloist in 2019, then a principal at the Bavarian State Ballet from December 2021. She returned to the Vienna State Ballet as a principal for 2025/26 under Alessandra Ferri.
