Italian dancer Gaia Fredianelli trained at the Ballet Academy of the Vienna State Opera. She won first prize at the Como Lake Dance Award in 2018, was a Youth America Grand Prix New York finalist in 2017, and received the Friends of the Vienna State Ballet sponsorship award in June 2025.
She was in the Vienna State Opera Junior Company from 2019 to 2021, joined the Vienna State Ballet in 2021/22 and was appointed demi-soloist in 2023/24. Her roles include the Prince’s friend in Nureyev’s Swan Lake and the fairy Canari qui chante in Schläpfer’s The Sleeping Beauty.
