Italian dancer Davide Dato trained with Ludmill Cakalli in Milan and at the Ballet School of the Vienna State Opera from 2005 to 2008. He joined the ballet of the Vienna State Opera and Volksoper in 2009, becoming demi-soloist in 2011, soloist in 2013 and first soloist in 2016.
His Vienna roles include Basil, the Nutcracker Prince and Siegfried in Nureyev productions, Albrecht in Tchernichova’s Giselle, and Colas in Ashton’s La Fille mal gardée.
