Italian dancer Alessandro Frola trained at Professione Danza Parma, Fomento Artístico Cordobés in Mexico and the Ballet School of the Hamburg Ballet. He joined Hamburg Ballet in 2019 and became a soloist in 2022 and a principal in 2023, creating roles for John Neumeier.
He joined the Vienna State Ballet as a principal in 2025/26. His awards include the Flaiano Award in 2015, the Dr Wilhelm Oberdörffer Prize in 2023, and first prize at the Anna Pavlova International Ballet Competition.
