Marius Petipa

Marius Ivanovich Petipa (1818–1910) was a French-born dancer, teacher and choreographer who spent his career in Russia. He is among the most influential ballet masters in the classical repertory.

His original choreography for The Sleeping Beauty remains the basis of the production billed with David Coleman at the Hungarian State Opera.
